Hiking in Damüls
...is the slogan of the highest resort between Bregenzerwald and Großes Walsertal in summer. Damüls, the traditional mountain village, lies on the Furkajoch, in midair between 1,400m and 2,100 m above sea level, surrounded by untouched mountains and in harmony with man and nature.
Alpine moors, bizzare ridges, high peaks, clear lakes and blooming meadows are waiting for you to be discovered and to guarantee you your personal mountain adventure.
Hiking on two wheels
Damüls and ist surroundings are a wonderful, but also challenging region for mountain bikers. Many small roads and single trails take you through the forests and alps. Hiking maps provide all the necessary information for exciting tours in and around the village.
With the Bregenzerwald Card you can travel by bus and use all cablecars and lifts free of charge (free transport of bicycles!).
But please stay on the roads and observe driving bans.
Damüls by motorbike
Damüls is the ideal startingpoint for motorbike tours, as it lies in the heart of Vorarlberg and can be reached from three valleys. It is also not far from Swiss and Tyrolean mountain passes.
Believe us, we know what we are talking about! The number of motorbikers who visit us proofs this. Being centrally located, Damüls is ideal for all kinds of tours and it is also an ideal stop when you are travelling south or east.
All our hotels and restaurants welcome bikers and try to make you feel at home by offering garages, tourmaps and drying rooms, etc. The tourist office will try to assist you with helpful advice.

A festival for Franz Schubert. To pay respect to this famous Austrian composer, Hermann Prey founded this festival in Hohenems in 1976.
The newly renovated festival hall Angelika-Kauffmann-Saal in Schwarzenberg has meanwhile become the venue of this renowned festival. Its classical architecture with wood creates the unique accoustics that have been praised by artists and audience alike.
After a break of 15 years the Schubertiade Festival will return to Hohenems again and in addition to the concerts in Schwarzenberg, some concerts will be organized in the Markus-Sittikus-Saal in Hohenems.
